The Issue

Issue

Child abuse happens here in Williamson County. It crosses every neighborhood, school, and background, regardless of socio-economic status, race, religion, or education. It can occur in homes, schools, churches, daycares, and youth sports environments, and increasingly, it happens online. Protecting children in our community requires honest conversations, greater awareness, and a shared commitment to recognizing and responding to abuse.

Services Offered

Services

Davis House Child Advocacy Center provides a coordinated, child-focused response to abuse through three core services. Forensic interviews allow children to share their experiences in a safe, neutral setting with trained professionals, reducing the need to repeat their story. Child and family advocacy ensures each family has guidance, support, and access to resources as they navigate the investigative and healing process. Trauma-informed therapy offers specialized, evidence-based care to help children process their experiences and begin to heal. Together, these services work to protect children, support families, and promote long-term recovery.

Our Impact

Our Impact

Since opening our doors, Davis House Child Advocacy Center has served more than 10,000 children in Williamson County who have experienced abuse. Each number represents a child who was met with safety instead of fear, and a family who did not have to navigate the aftermath alone. Through forensic interviews, advocacy, and trauma-informed therapy, we provide a coordinated response that protects children, supports families, and promotes healing. As the only child advocacy center serving Williamson County, our impact extends beyond direct services by strengthening collaboration among law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and prosecutors to ensure every child has access to protection, justice, and care. Today, nearly one child every day turns to Davis House CAC, a reflection of both the need in our community and the trust families place in our work.
